City Commissioners and City Affordable Housing Staff,
Providing pre-approved construction blueprints for ADUs and missingmiddle type housing is a common strategy for promoting the
construction of housing (especially infill and missing middle type housing).
To the best of my knowledge, the City of Bozeman has not implemented
this housing strategy.
This year the Arizona legislature passed a law requiring cities in Arizona to
establish standard preapproved housing design plans or a preapproved
housing design plan program (SB 1529).
I just happened to come across the procurement from the City of Yuma for
the A&E services to develop these plans for Yuma. If the city was
interested in doing something similar, here's an RFP that it could patternits own procurement on:
