Watch now BREAKING NEWS - Billions of dollarsstripped overnight from mentalhealth and substance use servicesand treatment Immediate revocation of thousands of contracts to deliver billions of dollars in behavioral health services READ IN APP A shocking letter came out of the blue yesterday. It was sent to thousands of JAN 14 behavioral health providers around the country. It informed them that the federal government is immediately terminating their federal funding. That means thousands of programs spending billions of dollars on care that were vibrant and thriving yesterday and gone today! Disability Rights Montana’s mental health protection and advocacy program is statutorily authorized by Congress and is not affected by this decision of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. So we are still up and running, but we are interested in learning more about what local Montana programs are impacted. There is no central clearinghouse for this information and we are trying to learn more about what services have disappeared so we can help Montanans with mental illness and substance use support needs navigate this massive upheaval.
