RE: 705 S Church Ave Traffic Impact Study Waiver Request Bozeman, Gallatin County, Montana Dear Karl: The purpose of this letter is to request a waiver from performing a traffic impact study for a two lot minor subdivision proposed at 705 S Church Ave. Hyalite Engineers performed a trip generation estimate for this project that will include a two lot minor subdivision with a townhouse. The trip generation analysis was performed using generation rates found in the Trip Generation Manual; 11th Edition published by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) for estimating average vehicle trip ends based on Land Use Code 210 – single-family detached housing. There are only two scenarios that need to be analyzed for this specific land use, the weekday morning peak hour and the weekday evening peak hour. The weekday morning peak hour is projected to generate a total of 1 trip and the weekday evening peak hour is projected to generate a total of 1 trip with an average daily trip of 10. The results of this analysis are presented in a table included with this waiver request. The townhouse being proposed at 705 S Church Ave is below the threshold for requiring a traffic impact study per City of Bozeman standards. The added trips to the transportation system are not anticipated to have any significant impacts to the surrounding area and the intersections to access the property can operate as they do today.
