Alex,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Does the MDT also maintain and or install the cities manholes? Does the city committee crew hire outside contractors to pave the roads and install the covers?
Because if so, they need to be fixed and in future installations put in properly. No 2-4” dips or
swells. As someone on the city council, maybe you can bring this up and start the process of getting
them fix and done right in the future. Over 20yrs this has been a problem. Either your councilis hiring incompetent people or finding ways to take short cuts to use the money that was
allocated for road work, to a different project.Don’t be like the government. Work for the people who put you in that seat.
I have installed these covers in a different state and know it can be done with each cover being
flush.
I looked at their website. Didn’t see a way to email them.Doing a job halfway is worse than not doing the job at all.
Cheers,
Jon

Good day Jon,
Thank you for your comment concerning traffic signals in Bozeman.
Please be aware, that any road with a highway designation is maintained by the MontanaDepartment of Transportation. The lights on College and Main you mentioned are under MDTjurisdiction.
As to your point about yellow arrows, I will see that our traffic engineer sees your comment.
Have a fine day,
Alex Newby

To whom it may concern,
Whoever is in charge of the traffic lights, needs a lesson on how to let traffic move.
Why provide an arrow if it’s only going to turn yellow? During the busy traffic hours, carshave to wait two maybe three cycles of light changes before they can move on.Counterintuitive. Either get rid of the yellow lights or make it turn green so traffic can flowfaster and easier.
Also, what is the deal with the light on college and main, by the mall? Again, trying to gostraight and had it never turned green so traffic had to either turn left or right,(while gettingout of the through lane to do so).
Traffic in this town has been an issue and always will be, but the lights can help manage itbetter.
