Dear Commissioners, Please know, I was mistaken to not include the fact that I was the city resident that reported Paine’s verbal assault on the Gallagator trail. I made a public comment on this previous incident at the same CDB’s meeting after his disparaging remarks to attending Bozeman residents.(I recognized him. And he used the same language and rhetoric in both his attacks.) Also know, that on the bike trail, he positioned himself very close to the back of my head, almost screaming. I was scared. Thus this incident was reported it to the Bozeman police. It is my understanding that this is the same developer that abandoned a project unfinished and who was told ‘no’ on his creekside Boutique Hotel, only to be later told ‘yes’. Just in themselves, these assaults by a pushy developer on the Bozeman Community is disturbing to think the City Commission could him and other developers, the green light to go 20 feet higher, even knowing the lack of character by a developer cannot legally be used in deciding their projects. Also, developers have both the option of the affordable housing component and the payment option to allow the extra 90’. Furthermore, there has been plenty of green lights given to these aggressive developers. Thank you for recognizing this in the UDC. I certainly appreciate you taking my comments into consideration. Also, his reported verbal attack on a bike rider for a mile on the Galligator trail supports evidence of his ill character. He obviously is easily unhinged and exhibits anything but unified, respectful, community behavior. > > I wholly believe it is best to leave the UDC as it has been proposed after two years of thoughtful, hard work by the City of Bozeman and its residents. > > Sincerely, > > M.E.
