Commissioners,
It is clear that you have had a challenging few weeks. And, as always, I applaud yourengagement with the community. Since 2023, the 90 ft. Height limit has been in the UDC
code. This is not a "new" idea. Please do not be swayed by this rhetoric, which you all know tobe untrue.
While there are (as far as I see as of 1pm on Monday, the 15th) 38 letters with 38 signatures
against the 90 ft. height increase, many are convoluted, calling for further height restrictionsand adjustments - an untenable path. In juxtaposition are 6 letters with nearly 100 signatures,
asking for you to stay the multi-year course toward a path of thoughtful, urban growth todevelop density where density was meant to be, in the downtown district, outside of the
historic core, which will allow for increased tax revenue to allow for continued infrastructureimprovements, walkability, affordability, and community services.
Please support the many years of time, dedication and thought you and the community have
put into this process and reinstate the 90 ft height limit and pass the UDC tomorrow onDecember 16th.
