Good Morning Mike,
I have spoken with a few people about this and ComDev as well.
I think we have had a total of 6 complainants about this daycare.
It is difficult to do much with if they receive the STUP from ComDev as they would be in
compliance with the zoning per the UDC regardless of it being R-1.
I spoke with the owner of the daycare and she is licensed by the state of Montana as well.
Traffic calming measures may be the only option, its still being worked on by Code to see if
there are any other options.

Hey Ben,
I know this is related to the AskBZN that you wrote an internal note on. Have you been in
contact with either of these two?
Thanks,

It has come to my attention that the daycare located at 615 N 17th is not in
compliance with current city code. In speaking with the planning technician in July of
my concerns, Sam told me the special use permit was under review. The owners are
now trying to revise the code. With all the traffic and congestion on Durston and 19th,
this seems to me just adding to the confusion and traffic issues. There is minimal off
street parking and appears to be unsafe for small children with no side walks as well.
In addition, there are two lots for sale between Blackmore Place and Durston road. If
these sell, and mixed use buildings get approved, we will be in one heck of a mess!
I have spoken to Nick Ross on the Calming of Bozeman Streets, and this is definitely
not falling in line with hopefully improving traffic flow and making our existing
neighborhoods being shown some respect, within the community.
These neighborhoods were not intended for businesses. The streets are narrow and
with affordable housing being a problem there are problems with too many cars
parked on street already without off street parking being provided. Rental
homes/apartments have limited parking.
Thank you so much for allowing me to share my concerns
