Dear Inter-Nieghborhood Council,
I am writing to suggest four INC priorities for 2026:
(1) Landmark Program (including voluntary Heritage Tree Program)
(2) NCOD Guidelines re-write
(3) Urban Forest Management Plan
(4) Integrated Water Resources Management Plan
All four of the above are important for protecting Bozeman's downtown core neighborhoods;
for maintaining and enhancing Bozeman's urban forest; for protecting Bozeman's finite water
supply and the health of the East Gallatin River watershed (including its aquifers); for ensuring
that future development is environmentally responsible and sustainable; and for maintaining
and enhancing Bozeman's historical character and sense of place city-wide.
