Hello,
I am writing in support of Autumn Michels to be nominated to the Sustainability Board. Autumn is a dear friend and
fierce community organizer whose love for Bozeman is unparalleled among those I have personally met. I am
always impressed by her thoughtfulness in asking questions and imagining creative solutions. I have never known
Autumn to dwell on a challenging outlook. Rather, she’s always one of the first to attack and issue with full force,
relying on her extensive community connections and ability to communicate with confidence to build coalitions and
forge a path ahead. I also deeply admire her compassion; not only for the residents of Bozeman but for the animals
and ecosystems that we share our home with as well. I am confident that as a member of the Sustainability Board,
Autumn’s best qualities will shine. We need leaders like Autumn in our community to ensure that we are
approaching the most daunting questions of coexistence between humans and the environment with compassion,
care, and confidence. Autumn’s experience as a community leader will provide that much needed perspective to the
sustainability board.
