I am familiar with the potential development of the old Idaho Pole site, and have read of the
trees presently there -- aspens and old cottonwoods that house a hawk nest. There is a sign onEast Main that says that Bozeman is a Tree City, and that care, establishment, protection,
conservation, and preservation are part of the criteria of being named such a city. I thereforeencourage anyone involved with the development of this site to honor the requirements and
standards of the Tree City designation and to leave those old trees -- it takes many years toreplace the environmental value of such old trees. And preserving wetlands is critical in
maintaining the good quality of a river and for habitat of the birds and animals in such anarea. Thank you.
