Dear City Commissioners and planners;
This whole UDC process has been a tough row to hoe. With developers being disrespectful of residents being old
and privileged, to consultants selling Bozeman’s soul to the highest bidder, to real estate agents who advertise
“under rented” (which means affordable), so buyers can gouge even more money from housing, it’s been
exhausting. And now at the 11th hour developers are at it again. They just seem so greedy. It’s really disgusting.
So please!!! Please do not cave in to the developers who stand to profit from 90 feet in height in the already
generous increased density in B-3! Please!!! Keep the height at 70 feet. Then and only then, only grant extra
building height developers get approval by providing affordable housing. Remember that affordability is one of the
driving forces for this whole UDC update. And it’s still not happening the way it’s written.
But guess what? We have ample unaffordable housing We need affordable housing!!! And if developers use the
“cash in lieu” then the city can use the money for affordable housing.
Please!!!Don't cave to developers at the last minute... literally the last minute!
Look at all the new high-density in the B-3. Is any of it affordable? No!!! The AHO is the only way that Bozeman
will get affordability in the B-3.
Thanks,
Patty McGown
