The surrounding homes exhibit hallmark features of the Craftsman/Bungalow style, including low-pitched gabled roofs, exposed rafters or decorative brackets, and large covered front porches supported. Emphasis is placed on natural materials, such as wood and cedar siding, creating a cohesive neighborhood aesthetic. The ADU, located above a two-car garage at the rear of the property, is scaled to match the height and proportions of other rear-yard garages and accessory dwellings in the neighborhood. Architecturally, the ADU complements the surrounding Craftsman homes through painted cedar shake siding and trim, exposed rafters, outlooker accents, and double-hung windows with divided lites.
