Dear Bozeman City Commission: As a resident and homeowner in Harvest Creek, I continue to have serious reservations about the proposed Fowler Housing Project, and the detrimental effects it will have on a large number of homeowners in the Harvest Creek Community. Concerned homeowners have expressed these concerns at multiple recent meetings. We have attempted to communicate the serious adverse consequences for existing Bozeman taxpayers adjacent to this proposed development. Decreases in quality of life, privacy, light pollution, and reduced property values should not be ignored. While I appreciate the fact that an environmental study is being considered, the greater good here is to consider the existing property owners in Harvest Creek, whose financial legacy is largely in their homes. These are hard- working Bozeman families, and what has been proposed will have huge impacts on their daily lives, essentially robbing them of home equity, and quality of life. The Fowler Avenue Road Project is a given. The disruption it will bring has been accepted. But to attempt to build this housing project on that tiny piece of remaining land, essentially in the backyards of Harvest Creek residents, and utilize our streets, which were not designed for this additional traffic, is seriously compromising a wonderful jewel of a family-filled neighborhood in Bozeman. I hope serious and thoughtful consideration toward this project will continue. The proposed development will not truly be affordable nor practical for the target families it has touted. But Harvest Creek is full of those families, and is representative of the kinds of homes and the sense of community so desired in our wonderful city. Harvest Creek residents should not be compromised in the creation of this proposed project. Thank you for your time, Heather Vaillancourt 3033 Caterpillar St. Bozeman Sent from my iPhone
