Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Commissioners and City Manager,
I'm writing to ask you to please remove item G.5 from the Consent agenda for
tomorrow's meeting.
My concern is that this parcel was in fact purchased using transportation impact fees, and untilwe address this issue, development of this parcel for anything other than transportation is
illegal. If this issue has been sorted out, perhaps City manager could give an explanation whenhe usually highlights some items on consent.
This parcel could be a most valuable asset for housing creation, maybe even the beginning of a
municipally owned housing program. But we've really messed up on so many levels.
First we need to sort out the acquisition funds. Second we need to conduct neighborhoodoutreach. Only then should we proceed with other public spending.
