Dear City Commission,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my strong support for reinstating
the original 90-foot height limit in the B3 district. This height standard—previously supportedby the public, design professionals, and the City’s Planning Department strikes an appropriate
balance between responsible growth and maintaining the character that makes Bozemanunique.
A 90-foot height limit, typically equivalent to seven stories, aligns with the scale of many
existing structures within the district while ensuring that the historic charm and sightlines ofMain Street remain protected. Adjusting this limit or adding restrictive conditions at this stage
could limit the opportunity to create a cohesive and well-planned urban environment thatreflects our shared values.
Reinstating the 90-foot limit now will also provide the necessary stability and clarity for
ongoing planning efforts. It will allow the City Commission and stakeholders the time neededto collaboratively develop comprehensive design standards and guidelines for the B3 district
—standards that will thoughtfully shape growth for decades to come.
I respectfully urge the Commission to restore the 90-foot height limit prior to the adoption ofthe updated UDC so that we may continue fostering a vibrant, innovative, and community-
centered Bozeman.
Thank you for your time, service, and thoughtful consideration of this important matter
Respectfully,
Ray Iskander
Bozeman Resident
