I am writing to express my firm support for reverting to the original 90-foot height limit in the 83 district. This limit has been previously endorsed by various community groups, the professional design community, and staff from the City's
Planning Department. At seven stories, this height is consistent with, and in some cases lower than, many of the existing structures in Bozeman, allowing for
appropriate development while staying true to our city's character.
Maintaining this height is crucial to preventing any adverse effects on historic
Main Street while providing the necessary framework for thoughtful urban development. I respectfully request that you act to reinstate this limit without additional conditions, which would enable you to develop comprehensive guidelines and standards for the 83 district that truly reflect our community's
aspirations.
