Join Us, Great Falls, fora Montana Arts Council Reception at the CM Russell Museum
Come hang out with MAC...Tonight!
If you’re in the Great Falls area today, please join the Montana Arts Council members
and staff at a reception at the C.M. Russell Museum, tonight, 5:30-7:30 pm. Let’s do
what we do best: get to know each other better, meet the staff and our three new Arts
Council members, ask questions, make connections. Good people, cash bar, light
appetizers. Please come say hi. I’d love to meet you in person.
We’re in Great Falls for a full meeting of the Arts Council on Friday, starting at 9:30
am, at the Paris Gibson Square. All Council meetings are open to the public, so if you
want to stop by please do. As part of the agenda the Council will host writers Jamie
Ford, Tami Haaland, Aaron Parrett, and Montana Poet Laureate Allen Morris
Jones in a discussion on the state of writing and publishing in Montana.
This is the season for celebrating each other. Please join us in celebrating you and
the good work you do.

Spotlight
Montana Actors’ Theatre cast members Pam Veis, TC Knutson, Grant Olson, Brian Gregoire, Tylyn Turner, Chad
Zuelke, Aylan Pratt, and Samantha Pollington performed Off Broadway in director/playwright Jay Pyette’s play,
‘Harvest.’ Photo by Katie Burke.
From Havre to Off-Broadway: “I’ve seen Broadway family dramas that didn’t have
the emotional depth and punch that Harvest has,” crowed a reviewer for New York’s
“Front Row Center” about the Montana Actors’ Theatre production of Jay Pyette’s
original play, Harvest. Pyette took his cast, crew, and the set—a beautiful
reproduction of a Montana Hi-Line farmhouse—to New York via truck for their 3-week
run at the off-Broadway Chain Theatre. Those of you who saw Harvest in Havre,
Missoula, Anaconda or anywhere else in Montana know the power of this rural story.
