Dear City Commissioner: I've lived in and around Bozeman for 20 years and moved into the Centennial Park neighborhood as a renter a year and a half ago after actively looking for a home in thiscommunity. I was attracted to this area because it is a true neighborhood with an established and welcoming community. Bozeman is vital and vibrant because of communities andneighborhoods like this one. Rezoning to R4 and forcing high density into this area would fundamentally change a sensibility that has developed over years. And I'm not sure why it'snecessary here? Protecting this neighborhood by creating gentle infill with cottage apartment/houses like the one I live in still allows for trees and open spaces; views; and alleys where we meet and greetwithout changing the essential nature of this community. High rises and high density here would take much of that away and eliminate one of the most attractive things about this city. I am a nurse at Bozeman Health, and I value being part of an area where I can walk my dogand meet neighborhood friends doing the same, talk over backyard fences and have neighborhood gatherings. I work for and in this community and appreciate being able to be inan area where I'm also able to feel a part of it. Thank you for your consideration. Shannon Brown Renter, Centennial Park neighborhood
