I am a longterm resident of the north side of Bozeman, and I support the request of
the Centennial Park neighborhood for their zoning to be changed to R-A rather than
R-C as part of the UDC update. To automatically switch the neighborhood's zoning
from R-4 to R-C, as is currently proposed, would inevitably lead to an increase in
density that would forever alter the neighborhood's character. We've already seen the
results of such an increase in density in my neighborhood, located just to the south of
the Centennial Park neighborhood. My neighbors across the street now have a six-story building rising directly from the alley behind their house. Traffic, parking, and
noise are increasingly becoming issues. Let's keep the same thing from happening
elsewhere. Let's take a stand for preserving the Centennial Park neighborhood's
unique character.Thanks.
