Dear Bozeman City Commissioners -We of the North side of Bozeman live with the very real possibility of a 45 foot, 8 unit going up 10 feet from our home. Or across the street. Or across the alley. It isterrifying and we have nothing to say. -People on the South side mostly do not have to live with that possibility. And the North side is not represented in our city government. -These possible and probable structures will not provide affordable housing, that isa myth. -We will be impacted by lack of parking. A biking, walkable community is also a myth. Check out the streets and sidewalks over Thanksgiving. -On the North side we have endured years of construction noise, closed sidewalks, closed streets sometimes 7 days a week. And now we are assured that we willcontinue to put up with the constant presence of construction impacts for no-one- knows how many more years. Not on the South side. -The current and future UDC are an outside investor's dream come true. -We are not aware of a mechanism to tweak our local zoning to sustain our way oflife. Our quality of life. -And most importantly, we currently live in intact, established neighborhoods where we know each other's names and their children and their pets. How can you live with knowing that because of you the quality of life for thousands of people is unnecessarily being thrown in the trash for the benefit of people who don't even live here?
