Plus two more ways to get involved with making Montana work betterfor people with disabilities READ IN APP Hello, Last year you responded to a survey of DRMTs about transportation. Thank you for taking the time to share your stories and concerns with us. Many of you have talked about long wait times, limited routes, and how hard it can be to get where you need to go. Your lived experience matter, and lawmakers will be talking about these issues soon. NOV 24 The Transportation Interim Committee is meeting on: Monday, November 24, 2025 8:30am–4:00pm Room 102, Montana State Capitol in Helena The committee will talk about the public transportation study starting at 1:10pm, and public comment will begin at 2:15pm. This is your chance to share your experiences and ideas. Real stories, like yours, can spark important conversations amongst lawmakers and help shape transportation solutions that better connect us to our jobs, healthcare, and daily life. How You Can Share Your Thoughts You can comment in any of these ways: 1. In person: Come to the Capitol and speak during the public comment time. 2. Online (remote): You can speak through video or phone. You must sign up at least 2 hours before the meeting here: Participate in legislative process 3. In writing: Send written comments mail them to: Transportation Interim Committee PO Box 201706 Helena, MT 59620-1706 4. We will share it for you: If you can’t participate or feel too nervous to speak, we can share your story on your behalf so your story can be heard. Just let us know! Your voice is important, and lawmakers need to hear from people who are directly affected by Montana’s transportation system. Here’s the link. Tell DRMT what they should do People with disabilities organized together and made their voices heard. They saw that Butte was not good at reviewing and authorizing accessibility features in public spaces. They told the city they needed to do better. The city has contracted with a consultant to review its accessibility and disability related processes. The plan has been released and they want your feedback about it. There will be a hearing on December 10th. You can review the document before then at the DRMT needs you to tell us what to do Butte-Silver Bow wants to know whatyou think of their plan to complywith the ADA following link and then provide your opinion in person or by writing on the 10th.
