I went in physically to the Court and Detention Center and they told me to contact the city of Bozeman, but I will contact Nick Borzak. Thank you On Nov 12, 2025, at 4:43 PM, Mike Maas <MMaas@BOZEMAN.NET> wrote: Hi Jenna, The project you are referencing is a Gallatin County project, as they own and operate the Court and the Detention Center. City of Bozeman, Hi My name is Jenna White and I live on 16th Ave next to the Bozeman Detention Center and I wanted to have a conversation about a project you’vebeen working on that has been affecting my living situation for months. <image002.jpg> On June 3rd 2025 this project (pic 1) was started. My dad came into town that day and we planned to go copper mining in Anaconda. We were half way fromBozeman to Anaconda when I got a call from my roommate saying “some construction guys are going to box your car if you don't move it in the nexthour.” NOTHING from the city ever, and was alerted 1 hour before by construction workers because my roommate happened to go out for coffee. Wecanceled our trip for the day and drove back to Bozeman to move my car. Extremely unprofessional and disrespectful to the people who were promisedthose spots by their landlord. I would just like to add that the people in this neighborhood know if this was a high-income area, they would be given morethan an hour's notice ;) So overall extremely disrespectful and not what I was expecting for the city of Bozeman. I let it go and was waiting for the city to redo our parking spots. Months andmonths went by and the weeds started to fill in. Pretty much by September I realized the city was never planning to do anything with this area and just letthe weeds grow in. So essentially I lost parking I was promised by my landlord for a lot of weeds. I guess I just don't get the point of destroying parking usedby many for a field of weeds???? pictured down below. <image003.png> On top of that, school started and there are many students that park on our street so they don't have to pay for school parking. So we lost our parking andnow there are an average of 8 students that park their car on our street Mon- Thurs. I've also tried parking in the police lot (circled in red) but my neighbor'scar got towed and I can't afford to get my car towed right now. On the right of the picture above there are 2 cars pictured: white and red. Thatarea is my only place to park. I walked outside this morning and there's no parking sign. So as of this morning I don't have a place to park. I reparked mycar past the police lot and in another business lot which is 15 minutes to walk to my house…and I'm a girl… and I get home late from work around 11pm…I don’t feel safe. The city has now made it impossible to park for the amount of people that live on this street to park. There are 11 houses on this street, all of them house more than 2 people. So that means there are AT LEAST 22 people. There are 10 spots available for street parking now and I'm not evencounting the average of 8 student cars that park on our street. Also if I park one street over on 15th, there is no sidewalk connecting to my house and I wouldhave to J-walk across college street, I have tried everything and everywhere to park. I’m also writing this email so If I get a ticket then this can be recoreddefensive on my end on how I tried to find parking and make a change but there is physically not enough. Moving forward I would like answers and conclusions on 1. 2. 3. If 4. the people that live on this street are able to park 5. 6. 7. 8. Appropriate 9. places to park our cars 10. 11. 12. 13. If 24. we can park our car in the police lot/will they be towed 25. 26. 27. 28. What 29. the plan is for the lot or just leave it as weeds? 30.
