At last night’s CDB meeting, I was troubled by the insinuation that the neighbors in
Bon Ton (BT) and Centennial Park (CP) tried to sidestep the ZMA process and get
special treatment … in fact, at the beginning of the UDC process, citizens such asourselves were encouraged to put forth ideas for zone map changes; BT and CPwere specifically instructed by City Staff to do it this way after we contacted them;
BT and CP re-created the ZMA steps as best we could given the time and resources
that we had; and the Commission even said that the BT and CP proposals are validand appropriate to consider at this time. Thank you, Jonathan Pytka (412 S Grand)
