I believe that the Centennial Park Neighborhood should be zoned R-A. The Centennial Park Neighborhood Proposal is well researched and substantiates a reasonablerequest of R-A designation. It appears that not all the CDB members did their homework and instead repeated tone deaf theoretical rationale instead of listening to a community of realpeople standing up for itself. This resident-led effort went above and beyond, following Staff suggestions, including documenting what is on the ground, knocking on doors, gathering petition signatures, meetingwith Commissioners, documenting how the proposal adheres to the City's growth plan and Montana Code Annotated, attending meeting after meeting, etc. The Centennial Park Neighborhood needs zoning protection to maintain its character, its quality of life, and its people - owners and renters, alike. If the parcel is developed in the sameheavy handed way as other parts of the City, long time home owners who took a risk in buying here might become displaced. The proposal advocates for gently increasing density in a predictable fashion while alsoprotecting solar access for gardens and energy and maintaining public and private urban forest. As citizens of Bozeman we need to stand up for our rights as home owners in ourneighborhoods. You, the City Commission and CDB, have no right destroying ourcommunity connection and character of our neighborhoods. This connection andcharacter are the threads that weave our community fabric together and make ourrelationships stronger as neighbors and bring the community together. You, the City Commission and CDB, have done enough damage to surrounding areas ofdowntown Bozeman. Enough is Enough! We want our neighborhoods to grow gently andorganically with the input of our neighbors, the community...those who we live next to.We pay to live here we should decide how OUR community grows!!
