Dear Erin George and Members of the City Development Team,
I am writing to formally and emphatically request that the City reject Application #25238 inits entirety. This development, as proposed, poses a direct and unacceptable threat to the
safety, character, and integrity of my mother’s neighborhood.
My mother is a grandmother. Her greatest joy is watching her granddaughters scooter and bike
freely and safely on the quiet neighborhood streets. That basic safety—something everyresident should be able to rely on—will be placed in serious jeopardy if this proposal moves
forward. Narrow streets, increased traffic, overflow parking, and commercial activity farbeyond what the area was designed to support will fundamentally change the environment our
families rely on. The City must do right by its residents and protect the neighborhood frompreventable harm.
Beyond this central issue of safety, the proposal plainly violates the legally binding PUD andMaster Plan. These documents are not suggestions; they are obligations. They clearly call for
one, single-story building under 5,000 square feet with no outdoor business activity. Thecurrent application disregards these requirements at every turn.
This proposal is not compatible with the legally established PUD, the Master Plan, or thesafety and well-being of the residents who rely on them. For these reasons, I firmly urge the
City and the Director of Community Development to reject Application #25238 entirely.
