01:42:36 Justin Bursik, Public Comment
Justin Bursik commented on using the city's GIS systems to allow residents in an area to pinpoint where
traffic issues are, which can be used as a survey that anyone can access on the city's website.
01:46:08 Jim Hanson, Public Comment
Jim Hanson commented on his experience living in California and having the same issues with traffic
calming. He stated the approach they took was going to neighborhoods that were having these issues
and doing a petition which deterred about 15% of residents for these installations, he also mentions that
more often than not, these issues of speeding usually come from neighbors themselves.
01:48:03 Linda Semonés, Public Comment
Linda Semonés commended staff for their efforts with traffic calming, specifically in her neighborhood
on Church St. She emphasizes the importance of the City working with residents in areas to see what
best suits them and how they can help the community. She also suggests having a neighborhood
association that can help facilitate these smaller projects.
