I have contributed to the community my entire life through both charity and creative events. I am a long time lecturer at MSU and liveon 90 Trails End Road: very near the proposed large development. 1. The development application ---violates-- in many ways, the PUD and the master planthoughtfully put in place to protect our town, wildlife and peace of our neighborhood. Itis simply illegal. There are other places in Bozeman that would accommodate such a large complex much better. What good are development guidelines if they are not respected by ourtown? The development is simply much too large for the lot size and the area. There is not enough parking and the development would destroy what makes Bozeman and myneighborhood tranquil, quiet and a place for the sanctity of nature. 2. Wildlife moves through the area, I regularly have bears and cubs in my yard (everyFall), owls, migrating birds, and deer come into my yard to have their young everySpring. Many wild animals move through this neighborhood and it is a legitimate greencorridor. This development would turn many of these animals into roadkill and endanger thewetlands right near the development. The neighbors in our area have to learn to drive to accommodate these many wild animals. The new and huge volume of traffic in thisneighborhood and the great turnover in this style of development would preclude any consideration of wildlife and also endanger the many drivers in the area who would no doubtcome and go unaware of the huge volume of animals and how to manage life near them. 3. I live in an old home that was my life dream to buy several years ago. Protecting thequiet green corridor is a way of life for me and my neighbors. It's small things: risingearly to put out the garbage so that bears aren't in danger. Driving in such a way toprotect wildlife. Not putting out unnecessary lights to avoid disorientation and the typeof light pollution that harms migrating birds. Not entering our yards or letting our dogsout when bears, (and bear cubs) are seeking a rest on the travels through the valley, nextto the small creek running through my yard. 4. I have a small child and many small children feel safe riding their bikes and walkingto school in our neighborhood. The volume of traffic would end this small town feeling ofsafety in our neighborhood. South 3rd would become a high traffic area. There simply must be a better place for this development. 5. I understand the need for housing, but we shouldn't allow developers to ruin our beautifulneighborhood, just to make a buck. Please, please stop this development. I beg you. Sincerely, Liana McKelvy90 Trails End Road Bozeman, MT59715
