Applications for the Montana Coal Endowment
Planning Grant Program
The Montana Department of Commerce is accepting applications for the Montana Coal
Endowment Planning Grant Program. The application is available on the grants and
loans portal until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 1.
For the 2027 biennium only, communities may be awarded one planning grant of up to
$30,000 for:
Preliminary engineering reports to study:
Drinking water systems
Wastewater treatment systems
Sanitary sewer systems
Storm water systems
Solid waste disposal and separation systems
Bridges
Capital improvements plans include:
Comprehensive CIPs
Water and/or wastewater CIPs
Bridge system CIPs
