Street, Bozeman, MT 59715 (MT06004C)
T-Mobile proposes a new wireless collocation project at an existing Gallatin County-owned
wireless facility, consisting of 6 new antennas and ancillary equipment on the tower along
with a 10'x18' equipment pad with ancillary equipment on the ground within the existing
fenced compound. There is no proposed change to the size, height, footprint or use of the
facility as part of this project’s scope of work.
T-Mobile is in the process of obtaining environmental review on this project and does not
expect any issues with the forthcoming reports. T-Mobile is licensed with the FCC for all
frequencies it intends to deploy on this new collocated facility. The existing tower has been
analyzed structurally by a licensed engineer and has been found to be structurally capable
to support the proposed loading of this collocation.
The purpose of this proposed collocation is to improve coverage, capacity and E911
services in this area of Bozeman. The existing facility has many public safety antennas on
it, a number of which will be removed as part of this project, to make room for the proposed
collocation equipment. The resulting antenna array on the tower will contain fewer overall
pieces of equipment than are currently present. The proposed project complies with all
applicable zoning regulations found in Section 18.54.040.
