Description
Hello, I just tried to submit a hearing request for the decision (denial) of my parking ticket appeal. It's
saying that I'm past the maximum days to appeal, however, I've already appealed and want to
submit a hearing. I received the decision on March 20th regarding it's denial. This is in regards to
#77924757 Issue Date: 3/38/25 14:49:28 Crosswalk Within 20 Feet License Plate: ZOTMAN Here is what
I wrote before I was told that I couldn't submit it: I want to appeal the citation appeal response
regarding its denial. How would anyone know the rules without signage or working for the City of
Bozeman? In addition, the markings were not able to be seen due to snow covering it up. Therefore,
again, how would I know that I couldn't park there? There are other signs throughout Bozeman
saying "no parking from here to corner" that would be helpful. I understand that "no signs are
required", but based on the aforementioned, for those that do not work at the City of Bozeman or
know the ordinances, like a college kid parking in a Bobcat lot at MSU (I'm not a college kid but
making an example). I would like to request this hearing as this morning I passed by the same area
with another car in the exact same spot that I was in. No ticket. No signage. Markings blocked by
snow. I even time/date stamped so you could see. This happens all the time. Instead of ticketing
people, put a sign up, or as I mentioned prior, reach out to Parking Services at MSU to let people
know the ordinance. Lastly, as I mentioned in my prior appeal, you can see the other car in the
"evidence photos" that is also parked right by a crosswalk. Did they get a ticket? I didn't see that they
did. People park like this all the time because we don't know that we can't. Please submit this for a
hearing. I'm happy to come and speak to someone as well if necessary.
