Hello comments of Bozeman
This is an email of inquiry.
This is (Kory, Abran Alexander) (aka, BOH with #BOHinventing)
Am seeking an explaination as to why some archaic law is problematic to this day? Why I
had to take my tent down today?
.
Firstly, lets dispel CONFUSION.
Let me be perfectly clear "THIS IS NOT "ADVOCATING FOR TENT CITY." If anything this is
an email for "PICNIC ADVOCATING."
My case is one of a new resident who is temporarily homeless (locally uneducated) getting
mixed messages from people "just doing their jobs." AND I was recommended to write this
email if nothing else to alleviate the confusions THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. Therefore Am
seeking answers....
I've been spoke to "several times" by BozemanPD about "camping & my tent" and only
ONE time in state park I "might" have been in violation. The very 1st time when I got here I
legitimately did not know you could "NOT tent CAMP in city park overnight." I can from
Seattle where they do have tents. On that night I was awakened by BozemanPD (courtesily-
explained) and later /soon left, packed it up and left...
Again, am new, homeless, and NOW educated and I have seen the sign at the park
entry to further prove the point.
Again, i am writing this email of distinction for "PICNIC ADVOCATING." There is a
distinction here.
I am going into "seperate issues with your older policy" about just using a tent at all...
First, as a serial inventor I have "tent innovations" to test, proto-put up, and potential
manufacture. And those proceeds could go to city of Bozeman at some point (that dpuble
seems hipocritical). That I cannot have my tent picnicing during day hours. Private
property is not an option at this time.
All same we are still on "PICNIC-ing" advocating by a homeless man and the "right to
bring a tent along at all daily. In Montana no less where YELLOWSTONE likely has plenty of
tents, visitors.
TODAY The police had me PHYSICALLY TAKE DOWN MY TENT ( 10.23.2025, roughly
midday) due to this issue. To which the NEW verbiage is a "structure." Now they are going
"verbages" calling a tent "a steucture," and that's just "drawing at straws" in my opinion
that even they may not understand this older-archaic-rule.
(Ex: a person who is freezing outdoors in a Montana park. Person has a tent/ structure in
case of freezing. To which they answer what "you can sooner die outside before I allow any
life saving structure/s put up...?!?").
I told the police am taking advantage of the last of warm weather, trying to relax with
privacy in my tent which will be GONE by day close. I feel they've taken this "tent/structure
thing" to some other level of colloquialism now...
I just need CONFIRMATION from you before I go to jail on an archaic topic.
(Albeit at current weather timing about to get colder. Again, NOT advocating for tent city,
or to camp overnight).
Advocating for the hourly right to be left alone, or bring company to a tent that will be
removed before end of the business day in Bozeman state park.
Currently staying at hrdc nearby and they do have hours of operation that I have to
comply with and do.
Please reply FOR ALL..., Please pass this along. I say "paradise is a work in progress," and
I have a "safe haven petition" currently running, valid and I aim to achieve HERE. Therefore
does not involve taking police jobs due confusions.
