See my reaction to the latest bad idea from a Montana politician READ IN APP OCT 24 Not all people who are unhouse have a disability, but a lot do. Whether it is modality disability, chronic health condition, mental illness, or substance use disorder, many people with disabilities have difficulty making enough money to secure housing in our state, the least affordable state in the union. So when a politician suggested this week that Great Falls should create an island to put homeless people on and run it as a tourist attraction to make money, I had to jump on YouTube for an impromptu live video to give my response. Let’s reject ideas like this and look to the people impacted by the least affordable housing market in the nation to give us a path forward.
