Increasing density is beneficial for the compact growth of the city, but finding a reasonable baseline for each zone is important. If the minimum density is set too high, it will effectively eliminate the ability to create a wide range of home types. It is important to note that the draft code does not have a maximum density. Please see the table below for the requested amendments. Current Code 9/19 Draft Proposed Edit R-A (R-S, R1 & R-2) 5 10 6 R-B (R-3) 5 12 8 R-C (R-4) 8 18 10 R-D (R-5) 8 24 12 REMU (Residential Only) NA 24 12 NEHMU (Residential Only) NA 10 8 We believe the proposed edits strike a reasonable balance allowing for both important diversity, desirability and density. Thank you for your careful considerations, Intrinsik Architecture Rob Pertzborn, AIA Tyler Steinway, AICP
