I truly believe the board has gone too far in its attempts to alter the fabric of our neighborhoods. The housing market has taken care of itself; now there is a glut of empty apartments AND the price of homes that are for sale in the city has dropped by tens of thousands. There’s no need for this board or city government to meddle in the economics of housing. But since there seems to be an itch to scratch regarding housing, please do notchange the proposed R-A zoning from what it currently is. Upzoning, if that’s the correct term, to allow 4 units without a minimum lot size has the drastic potential to ruin so many of our delightful neighborhoods, particularly when the demand has abated. In addition, please do not upzone R-B to allow 12 units. That’s just silly to consider that, and irresponsible for this body to attempt to spoil what so many homeowners have accomplished in town: the creation of neighborhoods. I know I’m part of the majority in Bozeman who opposes tearing apart our neighborhoods. Please act wisely and responsibly. Paul Burns 1031 E. Olive Street
