Dear Mayor and Members of the Bozeman City Commission, I am writing to express serious concern regarding the City Commission’s proposed actionrelated to King Arthur Trailer Court and Mountain Meadows Estates—both of which arelocated outside Bozeman city limits in Gallatin County. This initiative represents an overreachof city authority and a misuse of taxpayer-funded resources. I respectfully urge the Commission to: 1. Rescind any official or implied support for Tenants United or any other private groupengaged in this county-based real estate matter. 2. Reaffirm the City’s neutrality in all private transactions, particularly those beyond cityjurisdiction. 3. Prohibit the use of city resources—staff time, public communications platforms, andtaxpayer funds—for activist lobbying or partisan advocacy. 4. Refocus Commission priorities on essential city responsibilities such as infrastructureimprovements, fiscal accountability, housing affordability within city limits, and fairrepresentation for Bozeman residents. Bozeman taxpayers expect and deserve governance grounded in fairness, transparency, andrespect for jurisdictional boundaries. The City’s involvement in private county transactions notonly erodes public trust but also risks setting a precedent that could expose the city to legaland ethical challenges. Please act to preserve the integrity of local government by rejecting this overstep andreaffirming Bozeman’s commitment to impartial governance and responsible stewardship ofpublic resources. Respectfully, Susan Silvestri Eric Threlfall 27 Gloria Court Bozeman, MT 59781 626.422.9446
