2. 1989 Taxable Value $ 24,227,604
3. % of Change

g. -8% or +2%)
Note: If Item 2
is greater than Item
1, the taxing
jurisdiction's taxable value
has increased. To
calculate the
increase, subtract Item 1 from Item 2, divide the result by Item
1 and multiply by 100%. That
product will be
the percent
increase in taxable value.
If Item 2 is less than Item 1,
the taxable value has decreased.
To calculate the decrease,
subtract I tern 2 from Item 1,
divide
the result by Item
1 and multiply by 100%.
The resulting
product will be the percent decrease in taxable value.
In accordance with
SB65, if a tax unit's
taxable value
decreased by 5% or
more from the 1986 base
year, the taxing
unit may increase the
levy but only to
such a point that the
revenue generated is
no more than the revenue
from property
taxes for the 1986 tax year. Thus,
if the % of change in Item 3
is -5% or greater,
the taxing jurisdiction could
increase the
mill levy.
