Hello, Attached are some before and after photos of the ponds in the wetlands inBronken Park that have been sucked dry by developers in recent weeks. This wetlands area has been a precious resource for neighboring areas like ours inValley West. It is teeming with life: turtles, migratory birds, snakes. We often refer to it as “The Bird Sanctuary.” Image _7016 is the overview map, where the red spot is the pond we spokeabout Images _9241, and _3458 are before any draining occurredImages _6950 and _6951 show the pond drying up and Image _0175 shows it about a week ago, nearly totally dried up Since that pond is on city/ Valley West HOA public lands, it does not seem likethe builders developing the area between Springhill Church and Petra Academy should be able to drain it with impunity? Is there anything the city and/or HOAcan do about this? What can we do to add protections to this area and other wetland areas in Bozeman? Many thanks! -- Amy Trebella 4586 Alexander St.Bozeman, MT 59718 406-580-4586
