Hello, I am highly concerned that the lack of parking enforcement in our neighborhood will causeserious injury. I have tried submitting cases for parking infractions for multiple months now andgotten no response other than confirmation the case opens and closes. Looking at you MarkCarpenter and Julia Butterfield… On Michael Grove Avenue, cars double park the driveways so that pedestrians cannot walk on thesidewalk. Parking is tight when everyone returns home from work or school in the evenings, butthat is not justification to park illegally and endanger pedestrians by forcing them into the streetthroughout the night and morning. We have kids who need the sidewalk clear to get to bus stops. We have elderly and disabled neighbors who cannot safely navigate around these blockedsidewalks. It is a daily occurrence where I am forced to step into the street with my dogs and facecar traffic that is not expecting a pedestrian and has limited sight lines to see me given the curvesof the car lined street. These are dangerous conditions created by unenforced parking rules. My questions are 1. Am I correct to understand that this is the law around parking: Bozeman Municipal Code Section 38.400.100, which requires that sidewalks be kept free and clear of all obstructions 2. What are the avenues for report cars in violation of that law? Noting- making a codecompliance report didn’t do anything, submitting traffic cases didn’t do anything Photos and video samples of my night / morning walk on just one day. Cars sitting on thesidewalk from 6p-9a completing obstructing pedestrian use. Everyday. Thanks, Sent from my iPhone
