The intent of these responses to is to provide clarity and fairness across respondents. · City anticipates using centerline mileage from our GIS database for invoicing and payment. Minimum assignment will be one sub-route (i.e. “Monday A”) and maximum assignment will be a full day route (“Monday A-D”). Mileage for route maps shown in Appendix C are as follows: Route Mileage Monday A 7.33 Monday B 8.66 Monday C 5.56 Monday D 8.48 Tuesday A 5.18 Tuesday B 7.10 Tuesday C 7.58 Tuesday D 5.38 Wednesday A 11.13 Wednesday B 10.44 Wednesday C 9.34 Thursday A 10.02 Thursday B 9.04 Thursday C 9.77 Friday A 8.45 Friday B 7.09 Friday C 5.32 · Regarding equipment, city is looking for contractors to propose a work plan – staff, equipment, operations – you believe can get the job done. City does not have a specific equipment fleet established as a minimum requirement. · City will accept residual ice on pavement. Bare pavement is not required. City expects to make assignments based on condition of the street and won’t send contractor out if only city graders with cutting blades would do the job. · Parked cars are expected to be a challenge in some neighborhoods. City will expect snow to be cleared through the width of drive aisle where parked cars are present and avoid burying parked cars. City understands that there’s egregious cases each winter of parked cars turning into snow lumps and will have our Parking Enforcement Division out ticketing to remove them as the winter progresses. · City will consider a price escalator for extreme weather conditions in contract negotiations.
