I wanted to bring to your attention what I believe to be a serious traffic (flow) issue throughout many unmarked intersections within Town. For example, I watch (from my window) 10+ automobiles, on Villard, crossing Black every single day. They do so without any stop or even slowing down. There is a ‘yield’ sign, that is ignored, on Villard and nothing on Black. Last year, I believe, in effort to stop these potentially dangerous intersections, a large planter was placed in the middle of the intersection mentioned above (as well as others). It was removed, not replaced and now the traffic is, again, passing thru without slowing down, stopping or any regard for oncoming traffic. I know that there are many, many other intersections experiencing the same dilemma. My question is why are there such intersections that are unmarked - without stop signs? I am sure there have been traffic incidents and, if not, there will be! This is relatively easy to mitigate!!! Kindly respond to my email and please address the intersections, throughout town, that would benefit from traffic controls. Thank you Michael L.
