HomeMy WebLinkAbout072 L301 OVERALL IRRIGATION PLANIRRIGATION GENERAL NOTES1.PRIOR TO COMMENCING WORK, THE APPLICANT MUST CONTACT THE CITY OF BOZEMAN WATERCONSERVATION DIVISION TO SCHEDULE A PRE-INSTALLATION MEETING.2.A BACKFLOW PREVENTER SHALL BE PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED AS PER THE CITY OF BOZEMANREQUIREMENTS.3.IRRIGATION CONTROLLERS LABELED BY U.S. EPA WATERSENSE® PROGRAM ARE REQUIRED.4.IRRIGATION CONTRACTOR SHALL INSTALL A RAINBIRD (OR SIMILAR) WEATHER SENSOR WHEREAPPROPRIATE.5.CONTRACTOR TO INSTALL CONTROLLER AND ACCESSORIES AS REQUIRED. CONTROL WIRES ANDVALVES TO CONTROLLER TO BE FURNISHED BY CONTRACTOR.6.CONTRACTOR TO COORDINATE WITH ELECTRICAL FOR CONTROLLER CONNECTION.7.INSTALLED SYSTEM TO BE FULLY WINTERIZEABLE. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE OWNERS WITHWINTERIZATION PLAN.8.EACH IRRIGATION POC WILL BE CONNECTED TO CITY SERVICE.9.IRRIGATION DESIGN ASSUMES 22 GPM AVAILABLE FLOW AND 65 PSI STATIC PRESSUREAVAILABLE FROM WATER SOURCE.10.CONTRACTOR TO VERIFY STATIC PRESSURE ON SITE PRIOR TO BIDDING AND CONSTRUCTION.11.CARE SHALL BE TAKEN TO ENSURE IRRIGATION SYSTEM IS INSTALLED PROPERLY TOMINIMIZE/ELIMINATE WATER WASTE DUE TO OVER SPRAY ONTO HARDSCAPE SURFACES.12.SPRINKLER HEADS MUST BE SPACED 2" MINIMUM FROM ALL HARDSCAPE EDGES.13.MAIN LINE SHALL BE TRENCHED. PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE. PLACE MANUAL DRAIN AT LOWPOINTS IN MAINLINE. IDENTIFY LOCATIONS ON AS-BUILTS.14.THRUST BLOCKS TO BE INSTALLED AT ALL MAINLINE CHANGES IN DIRECTION.15.INSTALL ALL IRRIGATION PIPE AND CONTROL WIRES IN MINIMUM 4" PVC SLEEVE BELOW ALL PAVEDSURFACES UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED ON THE PLANS. INSTALL SLEEVES PRIOR TOPLACEMENT OF PAVEMENT AND SUB-BASE.16.ALL TURF AREAS ARE TO BE SPRAY OR ROTOR IRRIGATED. MULTI-TRAJECTORY OR MULTI-STREAMNOZZLES SHALL BE INSTALLED IN LAWN AREAS WHERE FEASIBLE TO MAXIMIZE EFFICIENCY.17.ALL SPRINKLER BODIES SHALL USE FLEXIBLE SWING JOINTS OR SWING PIPE TO CONNECT TOLATERAL LINES.18.IRRIGATION SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED WITH HEAD-TO-HEAD COVERAGE FOR ALL ROTOR ANDSPRAY ZONES.19.CONTRACTOR MAY NOT DECREASE PIPE SIZE SHOWN ON PLAN. A LARGER PIPE SIZE MAY BE USEDWITH AN ADDITIONAL COST TO OWNER.20.NATIVE SEEDED AREAS ARE TO BE ZONED SEPARATELY AND TEMPORARILY IRRIGATED FORESTABLISHMENT PERIOD. ZONES SHALL BE DISCONNECTED OR REMOVED AFTER ONE FULLGROWING SEASON OR AFTER 80% SEED ESTABLISHMENT VIA REDUCING RUN TIMES TO 0MINUTES, WIRES DISCONNECTED, OR PHYSICALLY REMOVING COMPONENTS. (ESTABLISHMENTPERIOD MAY NOT EXCEED 3 YEARS).21.TEMPORARY IRRIGATION TO SEEDED AREAS ARE TO UTILIZE 12" POP UP SPRAY BODIES IN LIEU OFON-SURFACE TEMPORARY IRRIGATION.22.ALL LANDSCAPE BEDS TO RECEIVE DRIP IRRIGATION. HIGH EFFICIENCY DRIP IRRIGATION ZONESSHALL HAVE 2 GALLON/HR EMITTERS TO ALL SHRUBS, AND 1 GALLON/HR EMITTERS TO ALLPERENNIALS AND GRASSES.23.ALL TREES SHALL BE IRRIGATED WITH HIGH EFFICIENCY DRIP RINGS AND ZONED SEPARATELY FROMSHRUBS, PERENNIALS, AND GRASSES.24.DRIP ZONES SHALL HAVE FLUSH VALVE END CAPS AT LOW POINTS OF ZONES.25.ALL ZONES MUST BE SEPARATED BASED ON HYDROZONES SHOWN ON PLAN.26.ON THE NORTH SIDES OF STRUCTURES OR HEAVY CLAY SOILS, CARE SHALL BE TAKEN TOMINIMIZE OVER WATERING DEPENDING ON SOIL CONDITIONS AND THE SIZE OF EMITTER MAY BEREDUCED.27.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE FOR PROVIDING OWNER WITH IRRIGATION AS-BUILTS AT COMPLETIONOF INSTALLATION.28.CONTRACTOR RESPONSIBLE TO INFORM LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES ORCHANGES NEEDED TO IRRIGATION DESIGN.
