ROUSE BOZEMAN, MT 59718 8 AM – 4 PM During this first-ever event, defendants who are making monthly payments on fines can bring in food donations and receive credit towards those fines. They will receive a $10 credit per item with a maximum credit of 20 items or $200. Donations must be non-perishable. WHO IS NOT ELIGIBLE? •Are paying only restitution •Have an active warrant and/or are in collections for fines/restitution •Have a deferred prosecution agreement •Are completing community service in lieu of fines If a defendant is behind on their time pay agreement (but no active warrant), they will schedule a time to see a judge and address their payment plan. The Court will hold the donation information in the file until the defendant appears for their court date and the Court will then assess credit for the donation. We will not be accepting “general” donations. Donated food will not be returned if it is determined that defendants are not eligible. HOW DO I DONATE? 1.Bring your non-perishable items to the Bozeman Public Safety Center 2.Provide your donations to the HRDC volunteers who will be set up in the parking lot 3.You will receive a donation slip that shows how many items you donated 4.Bring that donation slip into the Public Safety Center to the Municipal Court 5.The Court Clerks will review and give you the credit towards your fines and fees owed to the Court No need to sign up, just show up with your donations on September 5 Visit the Bozeman Municipal Court Website for this information
