To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed 84-unit affordable housing
development planned for our neighborhood. While I support the need for thoughtful, well-integrated affordable housing, this particular project raises several serious concerns that
make it incompatible with the character and needs of our community. First and foremost, theproposed four-story height is completely out of scale with the surrounding area. This
neighborhood is primarily composed of one- and two-story residences, and a building of thissize would create a visual and physical disruption that alters the established character of our
community. Second, the lack of adequate parking is a major issue. With 84 three bedroomunits and very limited on-site parking, the spillover into nearby streets will create congestion,
reduce safety, and place an undue burden on current residents. In short, this proposalrepresents overdevelopment that prioritizes density over livability. A project of this scale,
height, and intensity belongs in a more urbanized or transit-rich area—not in a low-densityneighborhood like ours. I urge the planning commission and city leaders to reject this
proposal in its current form and consider alternatives that better respect the scale, infrastructure, and needs of the existing community.
Best,
Ryan
