Dear City Commissioners, I’m writing to express my concerns regarding the proposed hotel project in the parking lotbehind the Bozeman Hotel. As a resident and supporter of locally owned businesses in downtown Bozeman, I urge the City to uphold existing municipal codes that protect thefunctionality and sustainability of our urban core. Specifically, I ask that the City enforce: 1. The 35-foot setback requirement from Bozeman Creek, which was in place when the property was acquired and is crucial to maintaining the health and accessibility of ourshared natural resources. 2. The requirement for new developments to provide adequate parking to meet thedemand they create. That parking lot currently serves multiple businesses and the general public. It’s functional,it’s shared, and it supports the day-to-day operations of places like Last Best Comedy, which depends heavily on Bozeman locals—residents who walk, bike, and yes, drive to downtown toenjoy quality, homegrown entertainment. Eliminating accessible public parking without a viable alternative directly harms localbusinesses like LBC that are vital to Bozeman’s character and culture. Development shouldnot come at the expense of what already makes this city special. Please do not approve this project unless it is brought into compliance with these long- standing requirements. Thank you for your time and consideration, Jivko Andonov1004 Hunters Way, Bozeman MT 59718
