Hi, my name is Chris Johnson, I own SkyNet Communications LLC. I am writing this in supportof the new proposed Boutique Hotel App 24147.
Why I believe we should have this new Hotel in Downtown Bozeman:
First: The location it is going in. Currently today is a run-down eye soar of a property that needs
to be developed. It needs to change, there is no question about that, you can pretty much askanyone.
Second: Bozeman is all about having unique businesses with buildings that blend into the
surrounding area. This new proposed hotel does that. It’s not just another chain hotel like theones that have been going up in the middle of town for the past 5 years now. Not everyone
wants the same old cookie cutter hotel to stay in when visiting. Tourists look for unique placesto stay and visit. If we want people to come visit Bozeman, we should cater to all kinds of
people and their wants.
Third: More businesses means more available jobs long term for the community.
Lastly: What does this mean for my company. It means a better prospect for another job wecan bid on and possibly work on, as well as other local companies. The larger hotel chains that
are owned and operated by out of state companies that have been approved in the past don’tusually work with smaller local ISP companies. In fact, most of them all support out of state
billion-dollar ISP’s Lumen and Spectrum and companies of that magnitude. While not evengiving smaller local companies a shot. Companies and people that are more local, tend to
spend more locally and with local companies.
Thanks Chris
