Hello,
As a long time resident of Harvest Creek neighborhood I’ve experienced the city and county’slack of planning for almost two decades. Here are my concerns.
1. We’ve become trapped in our neighborhoods, unable to take left hand turns due to lack oftraffic control on Oak and Durston.
2. When a light was added on Oak street there was no dedicated turn left turn light. 3. Trying to turn left on 27th to get to said traffic light on Oak is difficult due to traffic cutting
through the neighborhoods and vehicles parked along road. 4. Our neighborhood is already a cross through for north/south traffic as the city and county’s
lack failed to have clear through streets. 5. Not having an outlet for new subdivision onto Fowler will only increase the congestion,
uncheck speeding, and non-policed traffic violations. 6. Planning Fowler to accommodate traffic from 20 years ago is going to create more traffic
congestion. It needs to be wide enough for a turn lane and street parking at a minimum toaccommodate current traffic flow needs.
7. Anyone who thinks $450-650k is affordable is lying to themselves. This neighborhood willbe bought by investors who will rent the units to multiples and there will be 4-5 vehicles per
unit.
This project reminiscent of Bozeman developer and realtor greed. It’s time Bozeman city andcounty governments work together for the residents, trust the city planners who’s advice
continues to be ignored, and stop pandering to the developers and realtors. Thank you for your time,
