Hanson - Fowler Affordable Housing ProjectFrom:Victor Hanson To:Bozeman Public Comment Subject:[EXTERNAL]Fowler Affordable Housing Project Date:Sunday, August 3, 2025 12:21:46 PM CAUTION: This email originated from outside of the organization. Do not click links or open attachments unless you recognize the sender and know the content is safe. Gentlemen: We find the Fowler Affordable Housing Project objectionable for the following reasons:1) Allowing apartment-like buildings and parking to be built directly against the backyard fences of the existing homes along New Holland Drive without a reasonable buffer zone;2). The project proposes prices of $488,000 to $650,000 per unit which can hardly be classified as affordable;3. The project design includes parking for less than two vehicles per unit which means that overflow parking will necessarily be on the existing streets of Harvest Creek:4). The only access to the project will be on the existing Harvest Creek streets which were not designed for the added traffic flow;5). The value of the existing homes on New Holland Drive affected by the project will lose value that will be hundreds of thousands of dollars per unit;6). The area between the new Fowler street is better suited to grassland that can absorb any future flooding. A walking trail or sidewalk would be a much more appropriate use for theexisting land. Sincerely,Victor & Gabriele Hanson 1058 Harmon Way (Harvest Creek)Bozeman
