To the City Commissioners: I am a resident of Bozeman and a voter. I am voting for the Ward initiative on the
November ballot, and I signed the petition to have it placed on the ballot.
I vehemently object to any city funds, especially tax payer funds, being used by the city to dissuade voters from
voting for WARD. I pay very high property taxes, which are not always used in ways which are necessary and
prudent by the city.
WARD is an attempt to address ongoing issues that must be addressed, and have not been resolved by the
Commission. Fresh Water is life, and is not necessarily a renewable resource, although it is being treated recklessly.
I, for one, will not continue to live here if I am forced to drink recycled water, which is where we are headed, if we
have any water at all.
Property taxes is another unresolved issue, as the city continues to recklessly spend funds as if they are unlimited.
Do not use my tax money to fight against something that private industry, in the form of builders and developers, are
already doing. Quit supporting them instead of the residents of Bozeman that you owe a duty to protect. Water give
aways to developers are unconscionable.
Thank you for being responsive to the residents who are already here and are trying to survive.
