Dear Bozeman Study Commission:
Andrew Thomas would be a better fit for the position of Communications Strategist.
Because Andrew is a native Montanan, he has local fluency which is very important to this
position as it will help re-establish public trust. He will also be here in Bozeman, on site, to
engage readily with the Study Commission and citizens of Bozeman. Most Montanans do NOT
want out of state businesses directly influencing Montana.
Andrew has a stronger background in data collection and analysis needed for this position.
Andrew is a professor and licensed attorney. This allows him to offer a balance between
advocacy and education to the Study Commission. Andrew’s legal background will also give
him the ability to help with legal language.
Andrew’s approach to gathering input is inclusive and will reach ALL Bozeman residents, not
just designated special interest groups.
It is much easier to work with a local individual than an out of state big business. There is
more accountability with one person.
Because of the above listed reasons, Andrew Thomas should be our Communications
Strategist.
Thank you for choosing what is best for Bozeman.
Sincerely,
Deborah Nelson
