Greetings Brave and Honorable Commission!
I am out of town right now at the Mayo clinic to have surgery for colon cancer on Monday so Iwasn't really dialed into the meeting or the topics on the agenda but just got a notice of what
happened on Tuesday! I have to say I couldn't be more proud. I love you all. Although I am a heterosexual member
of this community I have to say one of the things I have been most impressed by is the city'sdetermination to stand against discrimination, hate and intolerance.
I understand the staff argument that flying this flag will likely precipitate lawsuits. But that's
their choice but that shouldn't be a barrier to doing the right thing.
I am so proud and grateful to be a member of this community!
